Terri Kelly Moyers

b. 1953

Terri Kelly Moyers grew up in Calgary, Alberta and felt isolated as a child because of her inclination to fine art. Nevertheless, she went on to study art at the Alberta College of Art and at the Mount Royal Community College.

Beginning in 1979, Robert Lougheed repeatedly invited her to the Okanagan Game Farm in British Columbia to study and paint wildlife and it was there she and her future husband, John Moyers, first met. Both continue to make annual trips to the beautiful Canadian countryside to paint in the out-of-doors. The couple now resides in Santa Fe, where they have established a national reputation for masterfully rendering the American West.

Terri has received the Nona Jean Hulsey Buyers' Choice Award and the Frederic Remington Award (shared with Mehl Lawson) at the 1996 Prix de West show, among other prizes.
